Norwich Beer Festival

It is almost time for the annual Doghouse beer festival (October 27th – November 1st).

To coincide with the beer festival next door at St Andrews Hall, we hold our very own event every year. We will have 18 ales/stouts/beers and 2 ciders for you to sample during the weeklong event:

Moondance Triple FFF

One of our original recipes, golden coloured best bitter with copious amounts of Cascade hops. Wonderfully aromatic floral nose balanced by a gentle bitterness with a hint of sweetness

JoshuaJane–Ilkley

(3.7%)

Rich nut-brown Yorkshire ale. Everything that is great about traditional Yorkshire bitter, fused with Ilkley Brewery’s unique hop character.

Bumble Beer – Wentworth

Golden honey beer from seasonal honey

On The Rails – Ascot

A dark ale with a sophisticated blend of malts combined with a distinctive hop character. A balance of caramel and chocolate flavours from the malt and a great aroma of pine and citrus from whole hop flowers

Buckeye – Roosters

(3.5%)

Buckeye is an easy-drinking, well-hopped pale ale, brewed with a blend of American and New Zealand hops, producing an orange, citrus fruit aroma and a refreshing level of bitterness.

JorvikBlonde-Rudgate

(4.0%)

Flaxen Blonde Ale. Balanced hoppy bitterness and a crisp fruity finish.

Fish N Ships – Waveney

IPA style,Golden,hoppy. Very Astringent

Twitchell – Buntingford

(3.8%)

Golden – 3.8% A golden session bitter brewed with malted barley & wheat, topped off with a blend of English & USA hops to give a refreshing bitter-sweet beer with a gentle citrus nudge.

Fasintation – Abbeydale

(3.9%)

A fantastically pale beer made with low colour Maris Otter malt. This gives a full hop flavor and the hops are a generous blend of North American Santiam and New Zealand Riwarka giving lots of berry fruits enhanced by light spicy notes.

Funny Luck – Dr Mortons

(4.1%)

Fantastically pale beer, made with a brand new experimental hop from America so new we don`t even know much about it. All we do know is to expect a fresh citrusy bite with a lingering bitterness.

Caskades – Scarbourgh

(4.1%)

Excellent pale beer with happy cascade hops.

Red Head – Pin Up

(4.2%)

A ruby red ale, malty sweetness aroma with a full rich body. The malts drive the taste without it becoming too fruit like, with pine aromas and taste from the hops. A pleasant after taste with a slightly bittersweet finish.

Natural Blonde – Pin Up

(3.8%)

Light straw coloured beer. Made with Galaxy Australian hops this is a hoppy beer with great flavours throughout, fruity aromas with a long smooth bitter finish. Light in colour, full in flavour and refreshing.

Daily Bread – Abbeydale

(3.8%)

A classic English bitter. Well-balanced, copper colored beer with malt flavors and a smooth bitter finish. Subtle hop characteristics from traditional Fuggles hops.

Gorge Best – Cheddar

(4.0%)

Best Bitter provides a clean bitter taste that complements the warm malt flavours perfectly. It is brewed using the best quality Maris Otter and Crystal malts and hopped with a blend of English whole hops.

Ghostly Pale – Rudgate

(4.0%)

Extremely Pale full flavoured Ale with ample Citra hop, producing a fresh fruity nose.

Asgard Legend – Rudgate

(3.8%)

A Dry Golden session Ale with floral flavours and zesty aromas.

Polar Star – Buntingfield

(4.4%)

A blonde beer with bags of citrus hop flavour. Brewed using Centennial hops from the USA to give this beer is distinctive almost pineapple aromas and flavour.

Doom Bar – Sharps

(4.0%)

Balance of spicy resinous hop, inviting sweet malt and delicate roasted notes.
